Santa Shoebox Project

Rockstarz Foundation

The Santa Shoebox Project originated in Cape Town in 2006 and quickly grew from a humble 180 boxes in 2006 to 118 274 in 2013.

The project is now represented in all provinces, with 55 satellites across South Africa, including one in Namibia. Santa Shoebox gives donors the opportunity to share the Joy of Giving - decorating a personalised shoebox and filling it with 8 required items. To donate simply register online.

Iron Sharpen An Iron (ISI)


ISI was founded to address the needs of underprivileged children in their community.

Many learners were dropping out of school because of lack of food and school uniforms so ISI decided to organise food parcels and uniforms for them. They also help those in high school with career guidance.

Education And Service Solution (EASS)


Education And Services Solutions (EDUASS) is an initiative founded by a qualified Chemical Engineer graduate to promote Science, Technology and Engineering careers to Mdantsane (East London) and surrounding rural areas from early childhood.

Their aim is to provide access to information within walking distance. Among some of the services and products that they offer are affordable wi-fi and study guides.
