SA student presents Weather App at UN Summit

A young South African meteorology student has impressed world leaders with a mobile app geared at fighting climate change issues in rural areas.

Brighton Mabasa presented his My-Weather App, aimed at assisting small scale farmers adjust to changing weather patterns, before the United Nations Youth Climate Change Summit.

Mabasa said, “The new Weather App was built to address the issues on access to climate information to small hold farmers.”
