The Reserve Bank has revised down its forecast of South Africa’s real Gross Domestic Product (GDP) growth for 2012 and 2013 to 2.6% and 3.4% respectively, citing the negative impact of the subdued and uncertain global and economic environment on the local economy, according to the Bank’s Financial Stability Review for September 2012.
