Main purpose of position:
To editorially plan, control, Guide, and develop Education specific programmes informal (not curriculum – aligned) content for Tweens, Teens and Youth.
Assist the team in creating a programming portfolio for SABC Education which provides information & makes a difference in the lives of the viewers or audience, while being globally relevant and competitive across all genres and disciplines of programming which target the Youth Market from Tweens to Young Adults.
Ensure that all Youth Education Programming meet technical and creative standards as set out by the SABC Policies and Strategies.
Today on Shift at 13h30 SABC Education will be giving away four Boston Bursaries worth R15 000 each to four lucky viewers.
The recent stampede at the University of Johannesburg highlighted the desperate need of the youth to further their education and the lack of capacity that exists in South Africa. In this episode 'Career Guidance and Funding' Shift will provide alternative tertiary solutions for the youth to consider for furthering their education and becoming successful economic contributors in society.
