Hellen Motsuki, a producer, director, writer, MC and motivational speaker was born and raised in Lephalale in Limpopo and realized her passion for arts when she was only 7 years old.
It all started when she played a role in a drama story at Sunday School church and had to perform in front of many people and right then she knew without a doubt that dramatical arts was what she wanted to do.
“I grew up being a storyteller,” she says. “I was always surrounded by other kids, listening to my stories. All the kids in my street and other streets would gather around me and be fascinated by my stories that I would create in my head. I couldn’t stop.” Helen also loved reading storybooks, so much that she would give away her lunch in exchange for a storybook that another kid had.
She attended Tielelo Secondary and Phegelelo High School and once she completed Grade 12, she decided to move to Gauteng to further her studies in the arts. Since then, Helen has appeared in several popular television shows like Generations and Muvhango. She also appeared in a number of television commercials for Carnival City and Lucky Star.
Hellen currently plays the character of ‘Melita’, a beautiful and ambitious entrepreneur that runs the canteen at Turf University. But now that the tender contract is on the verge of expiring, Melita has no choice but to roll up her sleeves and once again present her ideas to the committee. Not all is lost yet as she has experience, affordable prices and the university students adore her. But she will be going head-to-head with stiff competition.
Will everyone play fair? Make sure to tune in and watch the drama unfold.
