Charlie plays the character of Adv Moss on Skeem Saam

Charlie started his life-long love affair with the performing arts at an early age. Very active in local dramatic societies whilst growing up, he accordingly went on to study BA (Drama) at the University of Pretoria where he also attained a certificate in stage combat.

Charlie likes getting involved and has attended many stunt and weapons courses and workshops so as to perform his own stunts.

Some of his notable theatre successes include playing the psychotic Dr Frank-N-Furter in a national tour of ‘The Rocky Horror Show’, ‘Somewhere on the Border’ and ‘A Raisin in the Sun’ and most recently the critically acclaimed ‘Brutal Legacy’ which ran at Sandton Theatre on the Square.

Charlie turned his attention to the screens in 2011 and has since thoroughly enjoyed working in this medium. He has portrayed roles in more than 10 local feature films, Including Red Room, Vuil Wasgoed, Thys & Trix and Die Verhaal van Racheltjie De Beer.

His film experience includes roles in several international features, namely Transformers – The Last Knight (where he plays in a scene opposite Anthony Hopkins), The Journey is the Destination and in 2020 was seen in Bloodshot starring Vin Diesel.

Now on Skeem Saam, Charlie plays the character of Adv Moss. A stylish kind of guy that is attractive, cool, charming, mysterious, and calculating. He comes from a family of renowned lawyers and he is notorious for getting criminals out of jail because of his unorthodox methods. He comes to the rescue after Fanie and Kgosi find themselves in a bind with the law, but will he be able to get them out of it? Let’s see what sparks his character is yet to bring.

#SkeemSaam airs every weeknight on SABC 1 at 18.30pm
