SABC Education Virtual Academy (SEVA), high school support and home schooling Campaign

In the midst of the outbreak of Covid-19 in South Africa and the disturbance of national school calendar, SABC Education Virtual Academy (SEVA) presents SEVA home schooling campaign in support of matric learners, the campaign is in response to the interruption of the school calendar.

Through online self- help study learners will enjoy support for the following subjects: Maths, Accounting, Physical Science, Life Science and English First Additional Language (FAL). Each subject is accompanied by: video lessons, notes, flash cards for revision and interactive self-assessment activities.

Attached to the campaign is the SEVA Data Competition where learners stand a chance to win an amount worth one gigabyte of data across all networks subject to SEVA competition rules. Learners must visit SEVA social media sites for the competition following the handles below:

For SEVA lessons learners must visit www.seva.co.za, using any smartphone, tablet or computer in order to access the learning material.

Danie Swart Head of SABC Education says, “In times of a national crisis it is important that all citizens work together. SEVA is SABC Education’s contribution to assist Grade 12 learners to study online. This online platform also contributes to the national call in limiting contact between people and afford them the opportunity to keep up with their studies”.
