The South African Broadcasting Corporation (SABC) is proud to announce that it won three (3) Gold awards at the annual PROMAX/BDA Africa Conference which was held on Thursday, 9 November 2017, at the Maslow Hotel, The Ballroom in Sandton.
The SABC won in the following categories:
• BEST ENTERTAINMENT PROMO - KIDS MANIFESTO (GOLD) - SABC TV
• BEST PROMO NOT USING PROGRAM FOOTAGE - KIDS MANIFESTO (GOLD) – SABC TV
• SOMETHING FOR NOTHING - FAST AND FURIOUS (GOLD) - SABC 3
Network On Air Manager (SABC TV), Mr Phumzile Zonke stated that winning a Gold for PROMAX/BDA AFRICA is a remarkable achievement for On Air creatives, as it confirms ones creative prowess and elevates it amongst the best in the television industry. “This is indeed a proud moment for SABC Television On Air as we push the agenda of creativity and continue to improve amidst the rapid market changes and competitive television environment that we operate in,” he said.
Phumzile further explained that creativity is a unique human characteristic that allows one to stretch his or her imagination and to better respond to external changes such as technological advances and social developments, a trait that gives one liberty to imagine and create the kind of world we wish to live and work in. “It is a privilege to work for an organisation that allows us to use our ideas as a mirror for creativity and grant us access to resources that propels us to showcase those talents, and be the best amongst the best in the industry while continuing to fly the SABC flag high in a small way that we can,” he said.
