Farington Mnguni (26) found his inner strength and is turning his life around after some very bad life choices and personal tragedy. Overcoming addiction and personal loss he shares his journey into the working world as a general steel artisan, showing us we all have a core of steel resolve and can make the right choices when the going gets tough if we have the courage to face our past and shape our futures.
Using all the different skills he picked up as a casual worker he is applying for a general steel artisan’s position at Sher Steel in Jozi. A general steel artisan will develop skills across a variety of specialisations, including welding, milling, armature winding and boiler making depending on where they work, and Farington aims to find a path to a successful, secure future with plenty of development options.
