There, she took part in numerous festivals including the Taung Cultural Calabash and the Abangani Women’s Festival. In 2014, she co-wrote and starred in a production called "Paradox of Life" which was chosen to take part in the national Zwakala Festival held at the Market Theatre.

During her years at the Mmabana Arts Foundation, she received 2 accredited awards in Speech and Drama (Grade 6 and 7) with distinctions, from the Trinity College London.

Thuto has also performed as a poet, at the Golden Key Society inauguration ceremony at the University of Johannesburg in 2016. She then went on an international platform when USA’s Duke University invited her to perform at their annual Menell Media Exchange held in Johannesburg.

This young multidisciplinary artist has since taken to the stage as a talented actor, performer, and writer.

In 2017, she co-founded an award-winning all-black theatre company with 4 other female performers and artists, and their first project became a huge success, allowing them an opportunity to perform at the DFL International Conference, amongst other prominent theatre spaces in Johannesburg. They then went on to perform at the National Arts Festival in 2019, and then International Youth Arts Festival in Kingston Upon Thames, United Kingdom. In both these festivals, they became an internationally award-winning theatre company.

Now joining Skeem Saam, Thuto will be making her very first tv appearance playing the character of ‘Linda’. A beautiful and intelligent 2nd Year Turf University IT student. She soon meets Nimrod Kunutu and the 2 become as thick as thieves. ‘Linda’ debuts on the 6th of October 2020.
